Tax Accountant
MacFarlane, Faletti & Co., LLP is looking for a CPA to join our firm full time with experience preparing individual, business, and/or trust tax returns. Flexible hours and competitive salary and benefits. Knowledge of ProSystems fx Tax is preferred. Salary is dependent on experience.
Manager
The Manager is responsible for handling tax issues, preparing high level individual and business tax returns, and coordinating projects and training staff. The Manager is the most senior staff on audits, utilizing the risk-based approach.
Position Requirements

Advanced knowledge in several areas of taxation - income taxation of individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations.

Ensure the audit work performed is in accordance with GAAP, firm policy, and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and supervise staff in a positive, effective and inspiring way to further staff’s advancement; provide input in performance evaluations of staff.

Prepare initial planning and risk assessment of audits and oversee fieldwork.

Ability to research and document difficult tax and audit issues.

Demonstrated time and workload management skills.

Attend presentations of audited financial statements.

Interpersonal skills - desire to become involved in the community; ability to maintain excellent client relationships; ability to attract new clients to the firm.

Position Skills
-
Possess a college degree and be licensed as a CPA; masters degree in tax helpful.

Have a minimum of five years experience with demonstrated increase in the level of responsibility and supervision.
Measures of Success

Complete tax returns and audits in a timely fashion.
